For TDS Custodial, to register an account with us, please go to https://www.tenancydepositscheme.com/join/join-agent/ and select ‘Join’, then ‘Agent’ joining options’, then ‘Join TDS Custodial’. You will be sent email to activate your account and create a password, after which you can log in to your new account and start protecting deposits.
These are the steps you need to follow in order to register your tenant’s deposit with the scheme.
Once we have received the funds and they have been allocated to your account you will receive the Deposit Protection Certificate which will be emailed out to all parties. You will also need to serve on your tenants a copy of the Prescribed information and Scheme Leaflet within 30 days of receiving the deposit.
For TDS Insured, once you have set up an account, you will need to register the tenancy details to include the full deposit amount, full tenancy address including postcode, tenancy start date, end date and name and contact details of the tenant(s). You will need to download the documentation to serve to the tenants to include the Prescribed Information and Scheme Leaflet via https://www.tenancydepositscheme.com/learn-more/information-tds-lounge/templates/
