TDS supports new NFoPP qualification in Residential Tenancy Deposit Protection and Management

Steve Harriott, Chief Executive of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme has welcomed the launch of a brand new qualification in Residential Tenancy Deposit Management. The new qualification which has been created by the NFoPP Awarding Body and is aimed at staff working for letting agents and inventory firms who want to develop a greater knowledge about the principles and practices NFoPP Qualification in tenancy deposit protectionof good deposit management.

The course at Level 3 (broadly A-level standard) will give students the ability to develop their skills and knowledge in the law surrounding tenancy deposit protection and best practice when it comes to managing disputes.

The qualification covers:
•    General law, health, safety and security in relation to residential letting and property management
•    Legal aspects of lettings and management
•    Handling, protecting and processing residential tenancy deposits
•    Returning residential tenancy deposits and dispute resolution
