Positive Start for TDS Forum

The Tenancy Deposit Scheme has announced the details of its new TDS Members Forum. Its role will include giving feedback to TDS about day-to-day use, identifying potential for improvement and helping to find practical methods of strengthening communication with members.

The Forum is drawn from a wide spectrum of the members that includes three national lettings businesses or corporate landlords, three London-based and three-out-of London independent agents. Forum participants will provide the chairperson and, where possible, the Forum will include two National Approved Lettings Scheme members as well as members from ARLA and RICS.

The next meeting of the Forum will be in December, although a Steering Group has already agreed the Terms of Reference. Also, areas of immediate concern have been identified and will be on the agenda for the December meeting.

Said Steve Harriott, Chief Executive of the TDS, “I believe the Forum has got off to a very positive start and is set to make an invaluable contribution to the future success of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme. This will benefit both members and TDS staff and we will continue to keep everyone fully informed of the Forum’s views and suggestions.”
